A voice
far in the distance
profound, inviting
growing in familiarity
but to whom it belongs
remains in obscurity.

Faceless.

How I wish
I could reach through the gap
pulling the unknown to me
finally calming my curiosity.

A song
off in the distance
uplifting, soothing
words shockingly recognizable
though this melody
never before heard.

Haunting.

How I wish
it could play on forever
in one continuous loop
never again leaving me in silence.

A voice
far in the distance
feelings, desires
matters not in the end
only what I can take from it now
it’s services rendered.

Peaceful.

How I wish
I could forever be here
curled up in the comfort
of the rest I so desperately needed.
